These microscopic creatures can be a real menace to your health. They can be found just about everywhere! Their favorite breeding ground is usually your mattress. They feed off of skin we shed during the night and can cause many kinds of health problems.

Dust Mites Mites are so small they are virtually invisible without magnification. Female mites lay cream-colored eggs coated with a sticky substance so eggs will cling to the substrate. House dust mites feed on human skin scales, pollen, fungi, bacteria and animal dander. Dust mites do not drink free water, but absorb water from the air and the environment. Mites need very warm temperatures (75-80 degrees F) and high humidity levels -- 70-80 percent relative humidity.

Humans continually shed skin and lose about 1/5 ounce of dead skin each week. We also spend about one-third of our lives sleeping so high levels of dust mites are often associated with the bedroom, especially bedding and the mattress. Dust mites also eat animal dander so allergens will be plentiful in areas where family pets sleep.

As many as a million or more dust mites inside the mattress, dust mites’ feces are also more. This is where health problems come in. Some people might not have allergy but over the years, allergy might be there. Once an allergy has developed, the person will have the allergy for life. Many medical reports confirmed dust mites’ feces harm humans. Asthma Society and Allergy Associations all over the world also confirm it. The size of a dust mite is about 0.5mm which is invisible to the naked eye. They produce 200 times its body weight in feces. At first, the feces stick to the fabric fibers as small-coated ball mucus. Later, it will decompose to fine powder like dust.

The Hygienitech machine has been engineered to capture and retain 99.97% of the contaminants present as small as 0.3 microns. For comparison purposes, 0.3 microns is equal to 1/600 of the diameter of a typical human hair. Mold spores and pollen are approximately 20 microns in size, dust mite feces can be measured as small as 5 microns. Pet dander is approximately 2 microns. Bacteria can measure 1/3 of a micron.

The Hygienitech system can be used to kill bacteria, common viruses, pollen, dust mites and their eggs, spider mites, fleas and flea eggs, lice, mold and fungal spores and a long list of other contaminants that are harmful to everyone, not just allergy sufferers.

The Hygienitech system comes with UVC light (254nm), rotating brush and adjustable direct vacuum head. During cleaning, UVC lights pass through the fabrics because of holes and it kills bacteria, virus, ticks, bugs, spores and dust mites (The germicidal effect is in the UVC

spectrum, that deactivates the DNA. Bacteria, viruses and other pathogens are destroyed and their ability to multiply and cause disease). There is no suction hose and with direct vacuum head, the suction power is much stronger compare to other vacuum cleaners. All particles will be trap inside the HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter and will not fly around.
